Yamaha are one of the worlds largest manufacturers of component A/V equipment. Very reliable with a full two year warranty on all parts and labour (Australia). Well priced and offers some of the best technology in the business - Not to mention some of the best value subwoofers available.

Sonos was the best option for music streaming but is now
being pushed aside by the new range of A/V receivers
which have built in Apple AirPlay and in most cases,
proprietory apps which stream from Windows Media. Very
last year :(

Onkyo are one of the first brands we supported back when we started in the late 70's. Reliable, musical and, whereas not quite up to the technical level of Yamaha, is certainly a close second. Great value for money.

Cambridge Audio are kind of like Audiolab (see below) except greater range and less expensive.

Probably the most revered subwoofer company in the world. Very cosmopolitan, originally Welsh, now owned by the Yanks and made anywhere from the UK to China and everywhere in between. Extremely musical although it takes patience to fiddle and get the best out of them.

One of the world leaders in studio monitors and sound re-enforcement. The speakers and power amplifiers are not attractive (in fact they can be downright ugly) but offer some of the best sound at any price. Full five year warranty.

Unbelievable value for money speakers in their Studio range. Excellent value subwoofers. Steve's favourite speakers. Now producing the Signature range - up to $12500 pair, competing with speakers up to $50,000 from other manufacturers.
Vincent is the best value pure stereo electronics we've
tested. Period!
