Just after doing a world tour with "Yes" Rick Wakeman decided to go solo (if you can call it that with such a large entourage) and do his own world tour with "Journey to the Centre of the Earth" This was recorded at the Meyer Music Bowl in Melbourne in 1975.

After 5 minutes of who's who and claiming Paul Dainty (the promoter) is King (of what, I don't know) the Concert starts -

Don't even bother with this load of rubbish, sure Rick Wakeman plays with his usual verve and dexterity, Ashley Holt even hits a few notes during "Journey" but the sound recording is absolutely the worst I've ever encountered on any form of media. The frequency response is so bad it could be accurately reproduced over a telephone. I reckon you'd be lucky to get 200 Hz to 2000 Hz out of this lot. (there again, if you own a Bose system - no I'd better not go there, I hear Amar is highly litigious)

The long and short of it is, don't waste you're time or money with this one, it is absolutely unlistenable, so unless you get your jollies looking at Rick Wakeman's virtuosity and checking out his honker (pre-nose job) forget it.
